Lebron James and The Heat Returns to Cleveland
by rrking on Nov.30, 2010, under SPORTS
This whole thing about the Heat playing the Cleveland Cavaliers has everyone focused on Lebron James. How will he be seen? How will the fans react? How will he feel emotionally? The thing is that this isn’t about him only. It’s about Pat Riley, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, and the whole Heat’s organization.
If it wasn’t for Riley’s swagger and influence to persuade these 3 players to play together then there wouldn’t be a Supreme Team. It’s also Wade’s influence on Lebron that made him think about the Heat. Bosh decision to sign a contract with the Heat provided the ultimate sparkle for Lebron’s big decision. But it was the Heat’s organization fault as well for providing an adequate contract solution to sign all 3 players and still have room to sign their other teammates. So before trying to blame Lebron for all this mess, why not check how the Heat as an organization will feel coming in to play the heartbroken Cavaliers. How will the fans react to Heat for stealing their franchise player? Then again why not let Lebron be the one to blame and everything will be okay because that’s how the media perceives it.
Let’s Give Thanks to the Knicks
by rrking on Nov.24, 2010, under SPORTS
The Knicks reached this Thanksgiving week in a winning mode. They are playing really good and are actually playing way better on the road than at home. This is a good sign because home wins are usually much easier to get than road wins. This is a statistic that compared to a couple of season’s ago it looks great because it was awful seeing the Knicks play road games and get beaten all the time. Now we have a more rejuvenated team that understands each other and realizes that is more of a group achievement than an individual achievement. It’s like an article Shaun Powell wrote of the Mavericks’ Dirk Nowitzki saying how Nowitzki doesn’t have a sidekick that can help him easily win games so he must see the game as a team game. That is the reason the Mavericks are (9-4) and if the Knicks keep approaching games as a team then they will be just as great. So let’s give them thanks for being where they’re at (7-8) and hopefully by .500 before Thanksgiving.
Obama’s Visit to India Helps the U.S.
by rrking on Nov.13, 2010, under ACTIVISM, POLITICS
Everyone knows Obama’s visit to India wasn’t to improve India’s view of America. It was for business purpose which in terms it did but it also created a bond between both nations. This bond allows both countries especially India to be more sought out by other nations. India’s economy is growing and more innovative projects are being created that can help boost the American economy. If this ends up helping the U.S and creates more jobs then the American people will have a good visual of Obama’s achievements. This is something that Obama needs because it will help his campaign when he runs for reelection. This visit will be analyzed by historians and only time will tell if it helped shape Obama’s presidency.

by rrking on Oct.20, 2009, under BUSINESS
IsĀ Teixeira really happy or is he dying of anger against himself for not being able to do much so far during this postseason. He’s been 3 for 25 so far and the only time he really did something was when he went 2 for 5 against Minnesota. That was when he delivered a walk-off home run during Game 2, which is his only home run and RBI during this entire postseason.
Can we say he’s starting out to be like A-Rod who hasn’t done much in the postseason for the Yankees until this year? We all know Teixeira can deliver because he’s the Yankees RBI and home run leader this year. The big question is, when will he get out of his slump and will it be too late already?
I trust Teixeira to do something big against the Angels and along the Yankees path just like he did for them during that Game 2 against Minnesota. I say this because even though his offense is down, his defense is up and that really helps. When he starts using both his defense and offense then something big is going to be started. Lets just wait and see.
ROGER CLEMENS- STILL SAYS HE’S INNOCENT TILL PROVEN GUILTY
by rrking on May.13, 2009, under BUSINESS, GROWTH HORMONES, POLITICS, SPORTS, STEROIDS, drugs
ROGER CLEMENS AFTER SEEING THAT A BOOK TALKING ABOUT HIS SCANDAL WAS COMING OUT DECIDED TO GIVE A INTERVIEW FOR THE FIRST TIME. HE DID THIS SO THAT EVERYONE BELIEVES HIS STORY AND NOT WHAT THE BOOK IS SAYING ABOUT HIM. SO FAR HE IS STILL UNDER INVESTIGATION, SO I DON’T KNOW IF WE SHOULD BELIEVE HIM OR NOT. THE TRUTH IS ROGER CLEMENS IS A LEGEND WHEN IT COMES TO BASEBALL, HE DID RECORDS AND WON HONORS LIKE HE WAS UNSTOPPABLE. I GUESS THIS SCANDAL BROUGHT DOWN A GIANT THE SAME WAY A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SCANDAL BROUGHT DOWN ONE OF NEW YORK TOUGHEST AND EXCELLENT GOVERNOR ( GOV. SPITZER). NOW WE DON’T KNOW WHO TO CALL GREAT IN BASEBALL BECAUSE SOONER OR LATER THOSE THAT ARE IN STARDOM WILL COME OUT WITH THEIR OWN CHEATING BASEBALL SCANDAL. I FEEL NOW THAT THOSE WITH THE NOT SO ABOVE AVERAGE KIND OF GAME ARE THE PLAYERS TO BE REMEMBERED AND NOT THOSE WHO ARE ABOVE AVERAGE LIKE A-ROD.
SWINE FLU
by rrking on May.11, 2009, under BUSINESS
THE SWINE FLU MAY HAVE BEEN FORGOTTEN A LITTLE BIT OR NOT SPOKEN THAT MUCH AS BEFORE, BUT, IT IS STILL OUT THERE. ACCORDING TO THE AM NEW YORK NEWSPAPER, 5 RECENT DEATHS HAVE BEEN COUNTED, WITH ONE OCCURING IN COSTA RICA, THE NEW COUNTRY BEING AFECTED BY IT. THE SWINE FLU LOOKS AS IF IT HAS DISSAPERARED BUT LITTLE BY LITTLE IT PASSES TO DIFFERENT COUNTRIES AND ONLY WHEN SOMEONE DIES IN THAT COUNTRY THAN YOU NOTICE THAT PLACE IS AFFECTED. WE SHOULD BE SMART TO HANDLE THIS PROBLEM QUICKLY AND FAST. IT IS NOT ABOUT TALKING, IT IS ABOUT ACTION. THE SAME WAY YOU CAN’T BEAT A BASKETBALL PLAYER BY SAYING YOU ARE BETTER THAN HIM WITHOUT PLAYING HIM, IS THE SAME WAY THIS FLU WON’T GO AWAY BY SAYING YOU ARE DOING WHATEVER IS POSSIBLE TO END THIS OUTBREAK. WE NEED TO SEE ACTION, PERFORMANCE, AND CRITICAL STEPS INTO DOING THIS THE RIGHT WAY. WE COULD NEVER BE SAFE OF WHOSE THE NEXT PERSON TO FADE AWAY. WATCH OUT AND COVER YOURSELF, BECAUSE IT COULD BE YOU.
